DESCRIPTION
"Sovereign Sun #1"
Steven Minnaar
Original hand-carved linocut
5 × 7 in. image / 8 × 10 in. sheet
Edition of 777
Each Sovereign Sun is released as a finite edition of 777 original impressions.
Every impression is individually numbered #/777 in pencil and bears Steven Minnaar's 777 signature mark carved directly into the original block.
When an edition is complete, its block is retired and a new Sovereign Sun may be introduced.
Over time, successive editions form generations of the same recognizable idea: the sun over the Southern California coast.
