Become a Patron of Minnaar Money
Throughout history, artists have depended upon patrons—collectors who did more than acquire individual works. They believed in the artist and made it possible for the work to continue.
The Sovereign Circle is a circle of collectors who have chosen to acquire Minnaar Money — Art You Can Trade on a continuing basis and, in doing so, support its continued creation and circulation.
As a Sovereign Circle patron, you choose a monthly collecting commitment of 1 to 100 SV.
Each month, Steven personally selects Minnaars totaling your chosen Sovereign Value and sends them to you with an invoice.
Keep them. Collect them. Give them away. Trade them with others. Or exchange them within the Minnaar Treasury for other available works.
Over time, your monthly acquisitions can become something much larger: a Minnaar collection built alongside the continuing development of the artist's work.
Choose Your Collecting Commitment
Every Sovereign Circle patron chooses the level of patronage that is right for them.
Your monthly collecting commitment may be any amount from 1 to 100 SV.
You might begin with a single Sovereign each month, build your collection at 5 or 10 SV per month, or become a substantial patron at 25, 50, 100 SV—or anywhere in between.
There are no membership levels or status distinctions. Every member of the Sovereign Circle is a patron.
Your commitment is personal and may be increased, decreased, or ended before a future month's acquisition.

Patron Privileges
Monthly Acquisitions
Each month, Steven personally selects Minnaars totaling your chosen Sovereign Value.
Priority Access
Patrons receive priority notice and access to selected new works and releases.
Treasury Exchange
Keep the works you receive or exchange them for other available Minnaars according to the Minnaar Treasury exchange policy.
Minnaars may also be combined toward available works of greater Sovereign Value.
Private Invitations
Patrons receive invitations to selected studio gatherings, previews, and other Sovereign Circle events.
A Relationship With the Artist
The Sovereign Circle is deliberately personal. It is not simply a subscription for receiving art. It is an ongoing relationship between artist and collector.
Build Your Collection
A Sovereign Circle collection does not have to remain as it was received.
A patron may keep a monthly acquisition, give or trade it to another person, or exchange it within the Minnaar Treasury.
Smaller Minnaars may also be accumulated and combined toward available works of greater Sovereign Value.
Your collection can therefore develop and change along with your interests.
Collect what you love. Trade what you don't. Build toward greater works.
What Is Sovereign Value?
For ease of calculation and exchange, Steven assigns Sovereign Value (SV) to his art.
Sovereigns—Sovereign Medallions and Sovereign Impressions—serve as the 1 SV reference, which Steven values at 1 oz of silver.
Sovereign Value is Steven Minnaar's reference value for his own artwork and its exchange within the Minnaar Treasury. Minnaar Money is art created to be collected, gifted, saved, and traded.
How the Sovereign Circle Works
1. Choose your commitment.
Choose how much Minnaar Money you would like to collect each month, from 1 to 100 SV.
2. Receive your Minnaars.
Each month, Steven personally selects Minnaars totaling your chosen Sovereign Value and sends them directly to you.
3. Receive your invoice.
An invoice accompanies each monthly acquisition.
4. Make the collection your own.
Keep, give, trade, or exchange your Minnaars as your collection develops.
There is no long-term obligation. You may increase, decrease, or end your collecting commitment before a future month's acquisition.
An Invitation From Steven
I created Minnaar Money to make original art something that could do more than hang on a wall.
I want my work to be collected, given, saved, exchanged, and put into circulation—to pass from one person to another and develop a history of its own.
The Sovereign Circle makes it possible for a small circle of collectors to participate more deeply in that work.
Your patronage allows me to continue creating while you build a collection alongside me.
Whether you choose to collect one Sovereign each month or make a much larger commitment, your patronage becomes part of the continuing story of Minnaar Money.
