Occasionally, Steven Minnaar accepts a limited number of portrait commissions.

Whether created as a Lady Minnaar or as a Secret Minnaar miniature painting housed within a mechanical wristwatch, each commissioned work is an original, hand-painted watercolor created to celebrate the beauty, dignity, and individuality of someone you love.

More than a portrait, each commission becomes an heirloom—a one-of-one work of art created to be treasured today and passed from one generation to the next.

A Lady Minnaar offers a timeless original painting for display, while a Secret Minnaar transforms a miniature masterpiece into a private work of wearable art, carried close and revealed only through the exhibition case back.

Because every painting is created personally by the artist, commissions are accepted only as time permits.
